“God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”
– John 4:24
If we were allowed to gather together as the body of Christ for only one hour per week, what would we do?
What would you say?
We come to church to do more than worship, but it is important that we see worship as a priority. While praise and worship is led by a few, it is an individual experience where we seek God’s presence.
Worship is not just a series of songs. It’s a multi-dimensional experience where our spirits give honor and glory to Him that is worthy. The goal of each praise and worship time is to corporately bring an offering to our King.
It’s a time for each of us to recognize that we are individual worshipers A time of moving into a “vertical” experience — forgetting who is around, laying aside all circumstances and distractions and shifting focus entirely on God the Father, Jesus His Son, and the powerful Comforter, Teacher and Friend that is the Holy Spirit.
Worshiping God is an awesome experience and you don’t need to be in church to experience the joy and peace that comes from His presence through worship. Everyday, endeavor to give a fragrant offering of praise and worship to our King for He is truly worthy.
